Topic: Dental Infection Control Post-Covid

Graduate of Indiana State University. 26-year employee of SciCan where he began as a Territory Manager and then was promoted to Sr. Market Manager. Currently, he is part of a small team that trains Dental Dealer Representatives. Training responsible of SciCan’s Infection Control Master Program. Worked on numerous OSAP committees, has served three terms on the OSAP Board and has served as Treasurer on two occasions. Speaker on Sterilization Centers, SciCan’s SPEC Program and other Infection Control related matters.


Outline

The seminar will be a summary of Dental Infection Control from pre-Covid to post-Covid. What has changed? What has remained the same. The presenter will review USA’s CDC guidelines and how they have been modified from 2003 to the present. We will cover everything from proper transportation of dirty instruments to the Sterilization Center to cleaning and disinfecting dental operatories. We will touch on the use of Ultrasonic cleaners, dental washers and manual cleaning, sterilization and proper storage.

Objectives

At the end of the seminar, participants have a complete understanding of the proper sequence and protocol in Dental Infection Control. We will include helpful checklists for office use.
